Abiding in His Heart, Serving with His Love
A Message from Fr. Philipp:
My brothers and sisters in Christ, What a gift it is to be here with you at St. Alban Roe! It’s a joy to see the vibrant hope growing in our parish, with new faces and fresh beginnings alongside our cherished traditions. Your desire to serve and love one another—and especially those in need—shines brightly in your hearts, Wildwood, and the world. This ardent love has revitalized our parish, creating new opportunities for us to gather through Bible studies, family activities, men’s and women’s groups, and even a nursery during the 9:30 AM Mass. It is thanks to the many parishioners who generously give their time, hard-earned money, and God-given gifts that Jesus can pour out His life in so many ways. All I can say is: THANK YOU! I am excited for what Jesus has in store for us and what He will do through us. By abiding in His love, He transforms and ignites our hearts and fulfills one of our deepest desires; to be known and loved. As St. John Paul II often said, we only find ourselves in the “sincere gift of ourselves”. To continue growing, God asks us to be generous, giving ourselves not only in prayer but also in service and mission. With this in mind, I invite you to respond to our parish’s new stewardship initiative. Please review the brochure and prayerfully consider how you and your family can support our mission at St. Alban Roe. On the weekend of October 19 and 20, we will have a special commitment weekend, inviting the members of our parish to come together and recommit to the practice of giving. How is Jesus calling you to make a sincere gift of yourself? Jesus and the love that fills His Heart is the answer to the deep longing for a home and meaning in our lives—a longing felt by so many in our world. Our goal is to increase our Sunday offertory contributions to have an even larger impact in Wildwood, providing a home to those who seek belonging and a place to encounter Jesus face to face. The Lord has blessed our parish, and I can’t wait to see what He has planned for us. Thank you for your generosity, prayers, service and commitment to our parish, St. Alban Roe! In Him, Fr. Philipp |
