SAINT ALBAN ROE CATHOLIC SCHOOL BOARD

The Saint Alban Roe Catholic School Board consists of 11 members, nine of who are voting members.  The two “ex-officio” non-voting members include the Pastor and Principal.  School Board members serve three year terms with an annual parish-wide election in the Spring to fill open positions.

The purpose of the School Board is to advise the Pastor and Principal of St. Alban Roe in making policies for the parish school.  The School Board is not an administrative body.

The following are some of the functions of the School Board:

a.       Establishing the philosophy and goals for the educational programs;

b.      Interpreting and applying the policies of the Archdiocese;

c.       Formulating additional policies which may be necessary;

d.      Evaluating the implementation of policies;

e.       Approving the budget to be recommended to the Finance Commission and Pastor of the parish;

The School Board meets frequently during the academic year, typically the second Wednesday of specified months.
