Welcome to 2nd grade:

Let's Take a Peek Into What’s Happening
                                In 2nd grade
Typically January comes in with snow flurries from time to time. Until our next snowfall, the students will create poems and stories about snow and building a snowman. They may even predict what might happen if their snowman drank hot chocolate! 
 
            We will celebrate Catholic Schools Week beginning on Sunday, Jan. 30th   with an Open House. There will be some fun activities this week with some added surprises for the students.
 
  The students are very excited to learn their instruction on lower-case letters. We will begin upper-case letters in later in  January. The students must remember the Size, Shape, and Slant of their writing. They are always excited when we have a Handwriting lesson.
 
We are fast approaching our 100th day of school. Our class will celebrate on the 100th day in room 100 with a very special 100th Day project. They must fill a brown bag with 100 of something and then attach a riddle or clues for their 100 items. On the 100th day, the class tries to guess the content of each bag. This is sure to be a favorite project in our class!!!!!!!!
