CRHP Q&A ~

Q: What does “CRHP” (pronounced “chirp”) stand for?

A:  CRHP stands for “Christ Renews His Parish.”

Q: What is CRHP?

A: CRHP is a process by which one can experience “Church” through the power of scripture and commitment of fellow parishioners.   It begins with a series of witnesses given by fellow parishioners. The emphasis is on the witnessing more than actual instruction.  It provides the participant an opportunity to experience personal renewal through spiritual growth and the fruits of Christian community. It is also a great way of becoming connected with fellow parishioners.  After the weekend, the opportunity to continue faith formation exists by planning and participating in the preparation of the next CRHP.

Q: Where does the CRHP take place?

A: The CRHP takes place on the premises of St. Alban Roe Church.  Arrival and check-in takes place at the Parish Life Center (PLC) on  the Saturday morning of the renewal w/e and then the participants proceed to Alban Hall, where they will be served a light breakfast. Meals, snacks, and beverages are provided throughout the day.  On Saturday evening CRHP givers and participants retire to the PLC where everyone sleeps in their sleeping bags and on air mattresses. Sunday morning everyone proceeds back to Alban Hall for breakfast.  The retreat ends around 4:00 on Sunday.

Q: When is the next CRHP scheduled to take place and how do I sign up?

CRHP..Take the Time to Make the Connection ~

·       “CRHP Circle of Friends”
Since the beginning of time, friendship has been the most important relationship that man has experienced.  According to the myth, ancient man gathered around a new fire to celebrate peace and brotherhood among tribes.  It is said that a “Circle of Friends” which is rooted in the Lord, is a bond of friendship that will endure forever.

“A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter; he who finds one finds a treasure.  A faithful friend is beyond price, no sum can balance his worth.  A faithful friend is a life-saving remedy, such as he who fears God finds; for he who fears God behaves accordingly, and his friend will be like himself.” (Sirach 6:14-17)
